Every Young Athlete Grant
Easton Youth Association & Athletics (EYA) recognizes the rising cost of youth sports and the potential for some families not having the resources needed to pay for young athletes participation in sports programs. Therefore, EYA Board of Directors has established the Every Young Athlete Grant. The Every Young Athlete Grant sets the reduced fee at $25 for flag football and $85 for tackle football; afforded through private sponsors within our community and/or other organizational activities (i.e., concessions revenue). In doing so, this presents an opportunity for EYA to give back to the members of our community and afford the potential for ALL kids to participate in youth sports programs.
Priority for these grants are presented, in order, below:
Priority 1. Reside within the boundaries of USD #449 and attend USD #449 school(s);
Priority 2: Don’t reside within the boundaries of USD #449 yet attend USD #449 school(s);
Priority 3: Live within the boundaries of USD #449 but don’t attend USD #449 school(s);
Priority 4: Don’t reside within the boundaries of USD #449 and don’t attend USD #449 schools(s).
Process for Requesting an Every Young Athlete Grant
A request form must be completed and turned in by the last sign up day for that respective program.
Total number of grants, and grants per family, are dependent on availability.
Must be in good standing (payment of last reduced fee) before application for another program will be reviewed / approved.
All grant applications will be received by the last sign up day, reviewed and prioritized by the approved priority listing, and voted on by the EYA Board of Directors.
Payment of the grant needs to be made prior to afforded a slot on a team.
Donating to the Every Young Athlete Grant
Sports are a proven way to make a positive difference in a child’s life. Youth athletes are more likely to excel in school, succeed in work, stay healthy and active, and continue to be positive influences in our community at large. As a result, we invite those that can, to donate to this program and help families without the needed resources to keep their young athletes active in our programs.
